About Stephanie Bennington, D.O.

Stephanie Ann Bennington, D.O., is a boardcertified
Psychiatrist at Behavioral Health in Rapid
City. Dr. Bennington completed her Psychiatry
Residency at Creighton University in Omaha
and attained a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
from A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of
Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. Prior
to that, Dr. Bennington received a Master of Arts in
Medical Science from Boston University School of
Medicine and Bachelor of Science in Psychology
from University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Dr. Bennington’s passion is for treating substance
use disorder for all ages. She has previously
published research on the brain’s behavior during
opioid, nicotine, cocaine and alcohol addiction.

In her spare time, Dr. Bennington is an advocate
for foster care children and youth. She is an avid
gardener. Dr. Bennington also enjoys road trips to
explore National Parks with her family.

About Monument Health Behavioral Health Center

Monument Health Behavioral Health Center is a psychiatric healing environment offering inpatient and outpatient services for patients of all ages. Providers include psychiatrists, skilled nurses, licensed counselors and licensed social workers. Caregivers consider the whole person: mind, body and spirit.

The outpatient clinic offers psychiatric diagnostic interviews and medication management services. Inpatient treatment includes group, family and individual therapy, as well as diagnostic testing and psychological evaluations. Occupational therapists evaluate and treat patients with special needs, and recreational therapists provide a therapeutic environment. If necessary, patients can be hospitalized at Rapid City Hospital. Intensive case management is available to coordinate external services for the hospitalized patient.
