About Tim Burson, M.D.
Tim Burson, M.D., is a fellowship-trained Neurosurgeon at Monument Health Neuroscience Center in Rapid City. Dr. Burson trained for a Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellowship at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was Chief Resident at University Medical Center, John L. McClellan Veterans Administration Medical Center and Arkansas Children’s Hospital and completed Residency in Neurological Surgery at University Medical Center, all in Little Rock. He attained a Medical Doctorate from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, also in Little Rock and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
Voted Best Neurosurgeon by local publications multiple times from 2004-2024, Dr. Burson previously had a private practice in Little Rock at Baptist Health Neurosurgery.
Dr. Burson’s non-medical interests include big game and duck hunting, canyoneering, hiking, mountaineering (including climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and Grand Teton) and cycling.
