About Paul Atkinson, M.D.
Paul B. Atkinson, M.D., is a fellowship-trained Epileptologist in Neurology and Rehabilitation at the Neuroscience Center in Rapid City. Dr. Atkinson trained for an Epilepsy Fellowship at the University of Arizona School of Medicine in Tucson. There, he was also Chief Resident in the Department of Neurology and studied for a Preliminary Medicine Internship. Dr. Atkinson acquired a M.D. from University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison and a B.S. in Biology with a Minor in Anatomy/Neurobiology from Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
Previously, Dr. Atkinson was President and CEO of the Minnesota Epilepsy Group in Roseville, MN. A current member of The Epilepsy Study Consortium, Dr. Atkinson has served as principal for numerous investigational treatment studies.
Dr. Atkinson’s areas of expertise and interest include epilepsy and epilepsy clinical trials.
