Jennifer Knowles, CNP

Jennifer Knowles is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in the Cancer Genetics and Prevention Clinic at Monument Health Cancer Care Institute. A certified Genetic Cancer Risk Assessment Provider through the City of Hope and the National Consortium of Breast Cancers, Jennifer earned a Master of Science in Nursing at Columbia University in New York City, New York. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences at South Dakota Mines. Jennifer has a background in Primary Care, Interventional Pain Management and General Surgery.

Jennifer’s interest in the connection between cancer and genetics stems from her experience working with breast cancer patients. She is passionate about expanding cancer screening for early detection and prevention and counseling patients and their families about genetic cancer risk factors. Jennifer is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the National Society of Genetic Counselors, International Society of Nurses in Genetics and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. A Rapid City local, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, and supporting local performing arts throughout the community.
