About Christine A. Duerksen, DNP, FNP-C, ENP-C
Christine A. Duerksen, DNP, FNP-C, ENP-C is the Monument Health Director of APP Professional Practice and a Certified Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Department at Lead-Deadwood Hospital. Christine secured her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Leadership and Education program at Mount Marty University, from which she had previously acquired a Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to that, she graduated with honors from the University of South Dakota with a registered nursing degree.
Board-certified in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine, Christine is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Emergency Nurse Practitioners and American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. She is certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS and SANE. Christine expresses her passion for teaching as a part-time professor for MMU’s Family Nurse Practitioner program.
When she is not caring for others, Christine enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys exercising, weight-lifting, biking, hunting, fishing, baking, playing board games and canvas painting.
